On December 16, 2018, we presented “Kamishibai Japanese theater in pictures: a Bulgarian winter fairytale” to Bulgarian children for the first time. The performance took place at the Neo Geya Art Center, Geo Milev, Sofia, with free entrance for parents and children.
“Whoever does good, receives good”. This is the theme of our Kamishibai Japanese theater in pictures show. In this performance the children are not only spectators but also active narrators of the story.
We recreated the “Winter Fairytale” by Snezhana Ivanova with illustrations by Eslitza Popova. The presentation was followed by a creative workshop. Nature smiled upon us, together with the children we welcomed the winter with games and fluffy snow.
